Bay Area Most Energetic

Sperling’s Best Places ranks the Bay Area as the most energetic of U.S. cities. Bay area residents rank in the 90th percentiles for both walking and cycling to work, moderate and vigorous exercising, and were near the top when it came to feeling generally healthy. Residents had the study's lowest body mass index (BMI) scores. The Bay Area ranked as the top spot when it came to recreation opportunities too, having the highest scores in natural resources and fitness facilities. Sperling’s book Cities Ranked and Rated is part of the library’s reference collection.
