Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
Did you know that March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday? If he were alive today, he would be 110 years old! Theodore Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss, wrote and illustrated over 60 books. His whimsical rhymes and drawings have made him one of the most beloved authors of young and old alike for generations.
Fun Facts:
- Seuss is an Austrian name, and is actually pronounced zoyss.
- For books that Seuss wrote but did not illustrate, he used the pen name "Theo LeSieg." (LeSieg is Geisel spelled backward.)
- His books have been translated into more than 15 languages.
- The book And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street was rejected by 27 publishers before being published by Vanguard Press in 1937.

book with your child!
